In the unforgiving snow
where the light and shade repose
I have seen life decompose
and have wandered all alone,
coiled serpents under foot,
overlooked by watchful rooks
where the earth and sky combine,
withered on the mountainside.

I am sick of waiting for you,
I can feel the creeping cold,
in between the mortal flesh
and the unknown paths, overgrown.

Escaping the chains
of undeserved infatuation.
Braving the blades
that have torn through all forsaken
souls.

In the fearful eyes of death,
snatching souls from haunted flesh,
vanishing behind the shroud
becoming the dirt and clouds,
Purity is left behind
